Mrs Roache-Rooke

I feel so lucky to be working at Aberbargoed with such kind, enthusiastic staff and children who love learning. I currently teach year 4 but I have been teaching for 18 years and have taught nursery right up to year 6 in Cardiff, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly.

I LOVE teaching and am passionate about making learning as exciting as possible.

When I’m not in school, I enjoy walking my dog Rosie up mountains, to castles or on the beach with my family. I enjoy most sports but water sports in particular such as scuba diving- looking for ship wrecks and sea life. I haven’t seen any scary sharks… yet!

If you’ve ever found a fossil on a beach, please let me know as I haven’t ever found one. But I’ll always keep looking!

My favourite food is pizza with pineapple and I mostly drink cups of tea!

I have been deputy headteacher at Aberbargoed since September 2022 and I have been overwhelmed with how welcoming and supportive the community of Aberbargoed are, it’s a very special place.
